When you don't need the box, you can lock it into position with built-in quick-release pins, and should you need to take your Swing Box with you, you can lift the box out and you're ready to go. The company uses polymer bushings on the pivot joints, which allows the case to sit down and pivot on it without rubbing against the metal, so it doesn't rust and doesn't start squeaking. The Swing Case won't interfere with the plywood or sheet materials that you haul as there are 2 inches of over-the-bed clearance. For you to get easy access to your tools, the box sits on the pivot joints that allow the unit to swing out 180° right over the lowered tailgate. Once the bracket is in place, you're actually ready to go. The Swing Case comes with the vehicle-specific mounting bracket that is secured with 6 self-tapping screws. You can even take this thing through the car wash – not a single drop will make its way inside the unit. And thanks to the rubber seal that goes all the way around on the inside of the lid, the box will easily protect your tools from water and elements. To make sure not a single would-be-thief will be able to reach your tools, the box has a latch mechanism that can be securely locked with or without a key.
